Cristallizza ad alta temperatura nel sistema monometrico (leucite \u03b2); sotto i 600 \u00b0C i cristalli si trasformano in un fitto aggregato di lamelle birifrangenti tetragonali (leucite \u03b1), che conserva per\u00f2 nell&#8217;insieme la forma esterna originaria (paramorfosi).
